# Notifications and the inbox

The inbox collects what needs your attention: mentions, comments and finished agent work. You choose which of them also reach you.

## The inbox

Click **Inbox** in the rail. A number on the icon shows how many messages you have not read. The list updates by itself, so you do not need to refresh.

Each message names the page, who did it, and a short excerpt, and links to the place it happened. If you can no longer open the page, the message stays but the link is gone.

## What you are told about

- Someone **mentioned** you on a page or in a comment.
- Someone **commented** on your page, or replied to your comment.
- An **agent finished** work you asked for, or it failed.
- A card or form response arrived on a board you own.
- Your plan, trial or subscription needs attention (workspace owners and admins).
- An export or import finished.

## Choose what reaches you

Open **Profile** in the rail, then **Notifications**. Each switch saves the moment you flip it. Your choices apply in every workspace you belong to.

Some messages cannot be switched off, such as a finished export or a payment notice, because you need them.

## Email

When your administrator has set up email, some notices also arrive by email, for example a mention. The email never contains more than the text around the mention, and you still need access to the page to open it.

> Messages you have read are kept for 90 days. Unread ones are never removed.
